PIPE LINING FOR SEWER DRAINS

Are you sewer pipes backing up from root infestation, or from missing pipe floors or broken sewer pipes? Are your apartment roof drains leaking into walls of condominiums? Learn more about permanent pipe replacement from within the old pipe. It only takes 3 hours, has a 50 year warranty and is as strong as repiping with new pipe. We only need one entry point to install the new pipe liner, usually from a rooftop or a small access hole dug outside the building.  Click pipe lining to learn more.

EPOXY PIPE LINING

All throughout the aged infrastructure in Washington, pinhole leaks in copper pipes create slab leaks and leaking galvanized pipes cause water damage and lead leaching into drinking water. Epoxy pipe rehabilitation coats the inside of potable water pipes with EPA approved food-grade epoxy which permanently seals all leaks. Click epoxy pipe lining to learn more.

PIPE BURSTING & SLIP LINING

In some circumstances, pipes around Washington cannot be lined. Sometimes pipe bursting is used, which involves the physical destruction and outward displacement of the old pipe followed simultaneously by a new pipe with the same or wider diameter. In other cases, a new pipe can simply be pulled into the old pipe, thereby reducing the diameter somewhat. Click pipe bursting / slip lining to learn more.

Our Pipe Lining Service

As we offer a wide range of pipe lining services to Washington municipalities that allow them to repair and rehabilitate your existing underground sewer, drains and water pipes, we have great experience in minimizing pipe downtime and pipe rehabilitation cost. It is no longer necessary to replace damaged underground pipes, excavate roads, sidewalks and buildings. We offer the alternative called CIPP (Cured in Place Pipe). One variation of this trenchless technology is called “sectional repair” where only the broken section of pipe is relined. This technology is in use all over the country in many municipalities and we use the best liners and resins available. What makes it so convenient is a flow-though pipe in the center of the inflation bladder that allows sewer flow to continue during the pipe lining installation process. That means the municipalities to not have to redirect traffic around any bypass pumping equipment.  The liners we use meet ASTM F1216 specs and are the only lateral pipe liners approved by the Los Angeles, California Department of Building and Safety.

Many DC municipalities are discovering that existing sewage, water and storm drain pipes are starting to fail. Most of these failing pipes are cracked, have root growth coming through, separating or failing joints and corrosion. These failing underground municipal sewer lines, storm drains and water lines are only getting worse. We have the solution.

Installation Process For Pipe Lining (CIPP)

1. Clean and then perform video inspections of sewer lines, storm drains, manholes or water pipes.

2. Ensure the pipes that are being rehabilitated have had complete debris removal, root growth removal and corrosion.

3. Mix epoxy and resins. Cut pipe liners to correct length.

4. Install the epoxy/resin impregnated pipe liners into the damaged pipe.

5. Let rehabilitated pipes cure for 3 hours.

6. Video inspection and testing.

Complete Pipe Blockage at Strip Mall

Problem: Sewer clogging daily. Complete blockage now.

Location: 4231 Embassy Park Dr. NW, Washington, DC 20016

We received a call from a strip mall in Washington that has backups into the shops due to a severe sewer blockage. A sewer pipe has been causing sewer clog ups for several tenants in the strip mall shopping center. We started the process with a video inspection of the sewer lines. Our inspector found major damage to the pipe, including corrosion, holes and many cracks in the main sewer pipe, which was causing waste to build up and cause a complete stoppage. The customer wanted to use our pipe lining job to rehabilitate this pipe and restore the pipe back to full capacity without having to tear up the parking lot. We prepared all the pipeline material and using our inversion unit we were able to insert the pipe liner material into the sewer line for installation. After installation and curing the pipe was re-inspected. This job was completed in one day without any digging or destruction of any roads or concrete, and no traffic control was required.
