FAQ for CIPP Pipe Lining Company & Trenchless Potable & Fire Supression Epoxy Pipe Relining

Q: Can you reline pipes in my factorythat are broken or have missing pieces? A: Yes – any pipe can be lined as long as a video camera or a cable can pass through it. The only exeption is if the pipe is largely collapsed whci occurs if you wait too long to do the CIPP pipe lining. Q: Is it possible to do Pipeline Repairs on vertical roof rain drains or sewer stacks in a factory? A: Yes we usually install CIPP pipe lining from the rooftop where the rain drain is accessed by lifting the drain grate or the sewer stack is accessed where it emerges from the rooftop. Q: I only have 10′ of pipe to be lined. Will you come out and how much will it cost to use sewer pipe replacement ? A: It is not worth the cost of mobilization for a pipe relining company to install a short section of CIPP pipe lining. So they all have minimum charges to come to your factorysomewhere in the order of $4,500.

FAQ for Sewage Pipe Lining Company & Fire Hydrant and Potable Pipe Relining

Q: Can you reline pipes in my hotel that are broken or have missing pieces? A: Yes we can install drain pipelining and cover up the broken or missing sections so that all leaks and roots are prevented. Q: Is it possible to do drain pipelining on vertical roof rain drains or sewer stacks in a hotel ? A: Yes we usually install drain pipelining from the rooftop where the rain drain is accessed by lifting the drain grate or the sewer stack is accessed where it emerges from the rooftop. Q: I only have 6′ of pipe to be lined. Will you come out and how much will it cost? A: No – drain pipelining companies have to mobilize $100,000-$300,000 worth of patented equipment so it is usually not worth it to them for small jobs. They will however do the drain pipelining for a minimum charge, say $5,000.

Application of tough epoxy coatings to permanently protect manholes from chemical and physical deterioration

We are a trenchless pipe lining company operating throughout Hamilton County and would like to help you decide what type of pipe lining you need:

There are several tried and tested methods available to restore deteriorated pipes like Trenchless Pipe Lining Company & Sewer & Potable Pipe Relining . But can you use trenchless pipe lining or must you dig up the pipe? If your home sewer pipes backing up from root infestation or from missing pipe floors or broken sewer pipes then you need Cured-In-Place-Pipe lining or CIPP. CIPP is also used if your apartment vertical rain-drains or sewage drains are leaking into walls of condominiums in Hamilton County . CIPP replaces your pipes by installing a new physical pipe inside the defective pipe and only shrinks the inner diameter by 5.25% and comes with a 50-year warranty. Installation only takes around four hours so there is very little time that the pipe cannot be used. We only need one entry point for trenchless pipe lining to install the new pipe liner usually from a rooftop or a small access hole dug outside the building. ?

But potable water and fire suppression pipes in home are usually restored using a permanent sprayed-on epoxy coating that is thinner than CIPP. Many CIPP liners nowadays have been approved by the National Sanitary Foundation (NSF) for potable water and are used when the host pipe has been weakened by corrosion. Throughout Hamilton County pinhole leaks in copper pipes create slab leaks and leaking galvanized pipes cause water damage and toxic lead leaching into drinking water. First the fire hydrant pipes and drinking water lines are cleaned and then coated with food grade epoxy similar to the inside of food cans.?

There are some rare circumstances when trenchless pipe lining cannot be used in a home like if a video camera or cable cannot be strung through the pipe due to very large holes. In such cases there are two last resort alternatives to trenchless pipe lining : Pipe bursting and slip lining or even Trenchless Pipe Lining Company & Sewer & Potable Pipe Relining . “Pipe bursting is a technique where a new pipe is dragged into the old pipe which destroys the old pipe and replaces it with a larger diameter pipe. The second alternative slip lining in a home involves simply pulling a new pipe of smaller diameter into the old pipe.

Aging manholes deteriorate to the point where they allow water infiltration or sewer exfiltration in Hamilton County Trenchless Pipe Lining Company & Sewer & Potable Pipe Relining . Throughout Hamilton County sewer manholes are disintegrating and need to be rehabilitated long term at the lowest cost. We offer physical manhole rehabilitation with fiberglass and concrete and epoxy linings.

Application of tough epoxy coatings to permanently protect manholes from chemical and physical deterioration

We permanently restore pipes throughout Broward County and would like to help you figure out whether you can use trenchless pipe lining:

There are several tried and tested methods available to restore deteriorated pipes like Sewer and Potable Trenchless Pipe Lining Company & Epoxy and Cured In Place PipeLining . But can you use trenchless pipe lining or must you dig up the pipe? If your home drains backing up from tree root growth or broken or missing clay or cast iron pipe then you need a physical new pipe installed by Cured-In-Place Pipe Lining or CIPP. CIPP is also used if your apartment vertical rain-drains or sewage drains are leaking into walls of condominiums in Broward County . CIPP is a permanent pipe replacement inside the old pipe that only reduces internal diameter by 5% and had a 50yr warranty. Pipe downtime is only 3 hours whilst the new liner cures under air pressure and is ultimately as strong as repiping with new pipe. Our access point to the old pipe for trenchless pipe lining is usually outside the house or building at a cleanout or from a rooftop where the stack emerges vertically.

But drinking water lines and fire hydrant pipes in are usually relined using an epoxy coating process resulting in a thinner structure that with CIPP. Many CIPP liners nowadays have been approved by the National Sanitary Foundation (NSF) for potable water and are used when the host pipe has been weakened by corrosion. Recent surveys indicate that Broward County has hundreds of miles of copper and steel and galvanized pipes that are leaking causing slab leaks and property damage. First the fire hydrant pipes and drinking water lines are cleaned and then coated with food grade epoxy similar to the inside of food cans.?

There are times when trenchless pipe lining cannot be used in a home like when pipes have partially collapsed. In such cases there are two last resort alternatives to trenchless pipe lining : Pipe bursting and slip lining or even Sewer and Potable Trenchless Pipe Lining Company & Epoxy and Cured In Place PipeLining . “Pipe bursting is a technique where a new pipe is dragged into the old pipe which destroys the old pipe and replaces it with a larger diameter pipe. The second option slip lining in a home sleeves the inside of the old pipe with a new pipe of smaller diameter.

Eventually all sewage manholes experience leakage in or out of their structure so replacement is needed. The City of Broward County has a mandate to restore or replace sewer manholes with the lower possible budget. We have a wide array of manhole rehab options including epoxy and concrete and polymeric processes.

SEWER DRAIN PIPE LINING:

Are your sewer pipes backing up from root infestation, or from missing pipe floors or broken sewer pipes? Are your apartment roof rain leader drains leaking into walls of condominiums? Modern pipe lining installs a new pipe inside of the old pipe. It only takes 3 hours, has a 50 year warranty and is as strong as repiping with new pipe. The internal diameter is only reduced by 5%. We only need one entry point to install the new pipe liner, usually from a rooftop or a small access hole dug outside the building. Compared to old-fashioned excavation, this new inner pipe is cheaper, faster and cleaner. Click Pipe Lining to learn more.

EPOXY PIPE LINING:

Jackson has thousands of miles of deteriorating potable water pipe infrastructure which is especially prone to pinhole leaks in corroded or damaged pipes creating slab leaks. Leaking copper and galvanized pipes cause water damage and lead leaching into drinking water. Large and small diameter epoxy pipe rehabilitation coats the inside of any pipes with EPA approved food-grade epoxy which permanently seals all leaks. The epoxy coating is applied in varying thicknesses, depending on if it is used in oil refineries, hospitals, hotels, home, factories, aircraft carriers, water pipelines and apartment high-rises. Click Epoxy Pipe Lining to learn more.

PIPE BURSTING & SLIP LINING:

In some circumstances, pipes cannot be lined so “pipe bursting” is used, which involves the physical destruction and outward displacement of the old pipe followed simultaneously by the installation of a new pipe with the same or wider diameter inside the newly created void. In other cases, a new pipe can simply be pulled into the old pipe (“slip lining”), thereby reducing the internal diameter somewhat. Click Pipe Bursting / Slip Lining to learn more.

ADVANTAGES OF TRENCHLESS PIPE REHABILITATION

Speed: cured in place pipe lining takes hours not weeks

Cost: since no walls, basements, floors, driveways and landscaping is destroyed, trenchless pipe repair is cheaper than digging and replacing pipe

Cleanliness: No pipe repair excavation mess inside apartments, factories, hospitals and commercial buildings

No downtime costs: restaurant pipe rehab and CIPP in other commercial facilities allows the continued operation and no economic loss

We permanently restore pipes throughout Los Angeles County and would like to help you figure out whether you can use sewage pipe relining:

There are many pipe restoration techniques available today like Trenchless Pipe Lining Company & Sewer & Potable Pipe Relining. Do you need sewage pipe relining ? If your hospital drains backing up from tree root growth or broken or missing clay or cast iron pipe then you need a physical new pipe installed by Cured-In-Place Pipe Lining or CIPP. CIPP is also used if your condominium vertical sewer drains or rain leaders are leaking into walls and floors causing severe property damage. CIPP is a permanent pipe replacement inside the old pipe that only reduces internal diameter by 5% and had a 50yr warranty. Installation only takes around four hours so there is very little time that the pipe cannot be used. We only need one entry point for sewage pipe relining to install the new pipe liner usually from a rooftop or a small access hole dug outside the building. ?

But drinking water lines and fire hydrant pipes in are usually relined using an epoxy coating process resulting in a thinner structure that with CIPP. Today however there are CIPP liners that are approved for drinking water and used when the structural integrity of the old pipe has been compromised. Recent surveys indicate that Los Angeles County has hundreds of miles of copper and steel and galvanized pipes that are leaking causing slab leaks and property damage. Epoxy pipe rehabilitation coats the inside of potable water and fire suppression pipes with EPA approved food-grade epoxy which permanently seals all leaks.

There are times when sewage pipe relining cannot be used in a hospital like when pipes have partially collapsed. There are two last resort options: Pipe bursting and slip lining, or possibly Trenchless Pipe Lining Company & Sewer & Potable Pipe Relining. “Pipe bursting is a technique where a new pipe is dragged into the old pipe which destroys the old pipe and replaces it with a larger diameter pipe. The second option slip lining in a hospital sleeves the inside of the old pipe with a new pipe of smaller diameter.

Aging manholes deteriorate to the point where they allow water infiltration or sewer exfiltration in Los Angeles County Trenchless Pipe Lining Company & Sewer & Potable Pipe Relining. The City of Los Angeles County has a mandate to restore or replace sewer manholes with the lower possible budget. We have a wide array of manhole rehab options including epoxy and concrete and polymeric processes.

In January 2008 Craftsman Pipe Lining was contacted by a distraught homeowner who had just remodeled their entire home with matching expensive wooden flooring. A slab leak was damaging the wood and the customer needed a long term pipe restoration solution that would not displace his entire family again for weeks. Our epoxy pipe coating team was dispatched to the home where they isolated sections of the potable water supply lines and epoxy coated them. The process consisted of sand blasting the interior of the corroded pipes, then air drying them and applying a self hardening mixture of 100% food grade EPA approved epoxy using high speed forced air from large compressors.

The process required that some of the valves and connections had to be replaced, but that was the invasiveness of the system and did not affect the flooring at all. The entire process took 5 days and did not displace the family (excavation would have taken 2-3 weeks and would have required the family to relocate during the pipe replacement process.)

Craftsman was contacted by the maintenance department of the General Mitchell airport about a serious problem. The pipe that drains hydraulic fluids, oils and other liquids from the bottom of an elevator shaft into a collection pit was experiencing water infiltration during rain showers. The sump pump in the pit was not able to keep up with the rate of infiltration causing the pit to overflow and filling the elevator shaft with water, which was an electrical hazard. Excavating the pipe for replacement was out of the question as it was located 16’ beneath the floor of a busy walkway to a terminal.

Instead Craftsman Pipe Lining video inspected the pipeline and measured the length of the pipe liner to be installed. The appropriate amount of expoxy resin was then mixed and used to completely saturate the liner, which was then rolled into a pressurized tank called an “inverter” which uses air pressure to “shoot the length of pipe liner down the broken leaking pipe that needs repair. After 6 hours of cure time, the pipe lining process was complete and the new pipe had an engineered life of 100 years. Normal cure times for these pipe linings are around 3 hours, but since the pipe was filled with water that cooled the hardening resin, additional cure time was allowed for safety.

Application of tough epoxy coatings to permanently protect manholes from chemical and physical deterioration

We permanently restore pipes throughout Providence and would like to help you figure out whether you can use trenchless pipe lining:

There are several tried and tested methods available to restore deteriorated pipes like Sewage Pipe Lining Company & Fire Hydrant and Potable Pipe Relining. But can you use trenchless pipe lining or must you dig up the pipe? If your hotel sewer pipes backing up from root infestation or from missing pipe floors or broken sewer pipes then you need Cured-In-Place-Pipe lining or CIPP. CIPP is also used if your apartment vertical rain-drains or sewage drains are leaking into walls of condominiums in Providence. CIPP replaces your pipes by installing a new physical pipe inside the defective pipe and only shrinks the inner diameter by 5.25% and comes with a 50-year warranty. Installation only takes around four hours so there is very little time that the pipe cannot be used. Our access point to the old pipe for trenchless pipe lining is usually outside the house or building at a cleanout or from a rooftop where the stack emerges vertically.

But potable water and fire suppression pipes in hotel are usually restored using a permanent sprayed-on epoxy coating that is thinner than CIPP. Many CIPP liners nowadays have been approved by the National Sanitary Foundation (NSF) for potable water and are used when the host pipe has been weakened by corrosion. Recent surveys indicate that Providence has hundreds of miles of copper and steel and galvanized pipes that are leaking causing slab leaks and property damage. Epoxy pipe rehabilitation coats the inside of potable water and fire suppression pipes with EPA approved food-grade epoxy which permanently seals all leaks.

There are some rare circumstances when trenchless pipe lining cannot be used in a hotel like if a video camera or cable cannot be strung through the pipe due to very large holes. There are two last resort options: Pipe bursting and slip lining, or possibly Sewage Pipe Lining Company & Fire Hydrant and Potable Pipe Relining. Pipe bursting involves the physical destruction and simultaneous outward displacement of the old pipe as a new pipe with a larger diameter is dragged into position. The second option slip lining in a hotel sleeves the inside of the old pipe with a new pipe of smaller diameter.

Aging manholes deteriorate to the point where they allow water infiltration or sewer exfiltration in Providence Sewage Pipe Lining Company & Fire Hydrant and Potable Pipe Relining. The City of Providence has a mandate to restore or replace sewer manholes with the lower possible budget. We have a wide array of manhole rehab options including epoxy and concrete and polymeric processes.

Type: Pool return line in Olympic size pool
Problem: pressurized pool line washing away soil bearing the load of pool wall
Location: County Line Rd., Gates Mills, OH 44040

We received an emergency call from the property manager of an exclusive private estate on County Line Rd., Gates Mills. They were preparing for a 4th of July celebration around their $400,000 Olympic size pool, 10’ deep complete with racing lanes, diving boards salt system and geothermal heating. To their dismay they discovered that a 6” cast iron return line had corroded and had been washing away the soil that supports the deep-end wall. Without the support, the water weight inside the pool would surely crack the wall, and to repair such a crack would was estimated to cost $150,000 as the pool would also have to be resurfaced and have all tile replaced. Estimated job duration: 4 weeks.

The pipe lining solution: at the pool house we opened the return line and installed a 60’ pipe liner. The pipeliner had to go around two 90-degree bends, and the pipe relining had to account for the fact that the diameter changed from 4” to 6” about 30’ into the pipe. So a custom pipe liner was manufactured that changed size from 4” to 6” exactly where the host pipe did. After a 3 hour cure time, the liner was inspected and found to be perfect. The only remaining item was a 4” pipe connection (wye) that was covered up by the pipe liner. The connection was cut open from within the connecting pipe by a special tool installed at the end of a cable machine. Total pipe lining cost: $22,000. Job duration: 2 days.

Location: Cedar Glen Parkway, Cleveland, Ohio

An 80’ high office building was experiencing regular toilet clogs as well as sewer leakage inside the walls of the building. The sewer pipes were video inspected and found to be cracked along their entire length. They need to be replaced, but since the office building was occupied with high-dollar rent tenants, excavation of walls and floors was not a viable option.

The pipe re-lining solution: From the rooftop we lined one sewer stack at a time, leaving the other stacks available for use. Once the vertical waste pipe was lined, a robotic cutter was installed into the lined pipe from where pipe connections that were covered up by the pipelining were re-opened. Each pipe had a two-day downtime and cost around $13,000 to re-line, as opposed to an estimated two weeks for excavation and replacement at a cost of approximately $25,000 (including retiling bathroom walls on each floor).

So how is trenchless pipe lining installed in a ~Pipliner2 ? – for Drain Pipe Lining & Potable Epoxy Pipelining Company & Trenchless Pipe Replacement

There was probably an initial pipe video inspection done by a plumbing company that figured out what what was wrong with your pipe. A similar video inspection is done to measure exactly how long the required trenchless pipe lining is. The pipes may have to be “jetted” first if the pipes have too much debris on the walls and floors for trenchless pipe lining. The length of trenchless pipe lining to be lined is precisely marked on the video cable going into the pipe so that the measurement can be used to cut the correct length of pipe lining tube material. Then the “liner” is wet out with a precise amount of epoxy resin that hardens by itself and the liner is loaded into an “air gun” which shoots the liner into the pipe. Next a very long baloon of sorts is also shot into the inside of the liner to push it against the wall of the pipe and left inflated during the 3 hour epoxy cure time. The balloon is pulled out after the liner is cured and the new trenchless pipe lining is video inspected. If there were pipes that joined the lined pipe their connections were covered up by the trenchless pipe lining . In such cases a robotic “reinstatement cutter” is sent into the lined pipe to cut open those connections. See How Drain Pipe Lining & Potable Epoxy Pipelining Company & Trenchless Pipe Replacement works!

So how is CIPP pipe lining installed in a hotel – Trenchless Pipe Lining Company & Sewer & Potable Pipe Relining?

There was probably an initial pipe video inspection done by a plumbing company that figured out what what was wrong with your pipe. A similar video inspection is done to measure exactly how long the required CIPP pipe lining is. Sometimes the pipes in the hotel pipes have to be “jetted” before the camera work because they are so badly corroded or have so much scale and debris buildup. To get an exact measurement of the CIPP pipe lining distance a piece of duct tape is used to mark the video cable. That distance is transferred to the flexible fabric “liner” which will be used for CIPP pipe lining. Then the pipe lining flexible fabric tube (or liner) that looks like a long sock with the ends cut off is completely saturated with a self-hardening epoxy resin. The liner is then loaded into a large air gun that shoots it into the pipe. Next a very long baloon of sorts is also shot into the inside of the liner to push it against the wall of the pipe and left inflated during the 3 hour epoxy cure time. When it is determined the liner is “cured” the baloon is withdrawn and the new CIPP pipe lining is video inspected to ensure the CIPP pipe lining succeeded. If there were pipes that joined the lined pipe their connections were covered up by the CIPP pipe lining . In such cases a robotic “reinstatement cutter” is sent into the lined pipe to cut open those connections. See How Trenchless Pipe Lining Company & Sewer & Potable Pipe Relining works!
