The Pipe Lining Installation Process

1. The pipe lining contractor uses a water jetter or mechanical pipe cleaning brushes, remove all scale and corrosion deposits causing drain pipe backups in your broken underground sewer pipes
2. Then the pipe lining company uses a video camera to inspect the sewer plumbing pipes and gets a distance measurement for the trenchless underground pipelining
3. The pipe liner is cut to length and 100% epoxy resin is mixed and used to saturate the pipe sleeve thoroughly
4. The new liner is installed and allowed to harden under air pressure against the walls of the broken leaking pipe
5. After 3 hours the new pipe liner has formed a new pipe inside the old pipe and the trenchless pipe process is complete

Pharmaceutical Company HVAC Pipe Rehabilitation

Problem: Underground Chiller pipes leaking

Diagnosis: Corrosion due to aggressive water causing leaks

A large new pharmaceutical company in Austin was experiencing repeated leaks in their pressurized chiller lines. They provide cutting-edge research into HIV, H1N1, and other viral agents. Investigation indicated that inadequate corrosion control chemicals were used in their HVAC pipes, allowing the lines to oxidize and leak. Trenching to replace the pipes was not an option due to expense and downtime.

Craftsman was contracted to re-line 3600’ of 4” and 6” chiller pipes which were located 39’ down under landscaping, concrete and passages. Epoxy pipe lining was chosen to be the best alternative as even a minor reduction in internal pipe diameter was not feasible from an engineering perspective as flow rates were to be maintained. The new inner pipe coating is completely inert, cannot corrode and is resistant to a wide range of pH levels, including those of the sequestering and corrosion control agents that are continuously added to the chiller lines.

The work was scheduled over the 4^th of July holidays when the company was closed for annual maintenance.

We were hired by a large commercial property manager to perform a trenchless sewer line repair. The customer thought they had no choice but to tear up the parking lot and sidewalk of a large shopping center. We recommended CIPP trenchless pipe repair to fix their problem. Using the trenchless repair method we were able to repair their underground / under parking lot sewer pipes using our trenchless CIPP process. The entire project took 1 day including inspection, installation, curing and testing. We are able to repair pipes in Plantation fast because we have multiple pipe relining units with Perma-Liner equipment and top of the line technology with certified tech’s that can rehabilitate any pipe, at any job site. This entire project was completed without any interruption to the above parking lot and the pipe was rehabilitated without the need to destroy or remove a single piece of concrete.
