About Craftsman Pipe Lining
Craftsman Pipe Lining operates throughout the south-eastern United States and unlike other pipe rehabilitation companies, Craftsman is operated by a scientist. Hugo Forster, BS Chemistry, BS Microbiology, MBA is a qualified chemist and microbiologist who has analyzed and treated wastewater in Johannesburg, South Africa, Zurich, Switzerland and Birmingham, AL.
He has an in-depth understanding of the Langelleir Saturation Index and scale formation, pipe corrosion by regular oxidation versus Sulphate Reducing Bacteria, acidic excretions by Acetobacter and Lactobaccilli, and chemical degradation by strong reducing agents and oxidants.
Other methods such as pipe-bursting, slip-lining and modified cross section lining are useful in some situations, but the least expensive and fastest method of solving the above problems is to reline pipes with an inert and strong PVC material using the inversion process that Perma-Liner™ Industries has perfected. The Craftsman installation crew has been certified by Perma-Liner™ and has collectively lined thousands of feet of pipe over the years.
