Port Charlotte trenchless sewer repair company announces 1,000,000 feet of sewer pipe lining installed – By Hugo Forster
Recently Trenchless Pipe Lining LLC, a company in Port Charlotte, achieved a new milestone in restoring underground sewer drains and vertical rain drains and sewer stacks in high-rise condominiums. The technology is not well known amongst homeowners who have underground cast iron leaks or repeated sewer backups because of roots growing into there drain pipes.
So How Does Port Charlotte Trenchless Sewer Repair Work?
First of all the sewer drain is cleaned using a hydro-jetter or a drain snake machine which removes rust, scale and sand in order to restore the original pipe diameter. But this process also weakens the pipes somewhat so immediately the pipe is inspected with a video camera determine how long the length of pipe lining material will be that will be installed.
Next the length of pipe lining material is cut to size and a special 100 percent epoxy resin is impregnated into the inside of the pipe lining material. At that point the pipe lining material is pulled into the pipe and an internal balloon called a “calibration tube” is inflated to about 20 psi for 4 hours. That is how long it takes for the epoxy resin to harden. Once that has occurred, the new pipe lining material is ready to be put into use and the homeowners or high rise condo tenants are allowed to use the pipe immediately. Finally video inspection is done to ensure the pipe lining material was installed correctly. The entire process takes about one day and cost about half as much as sewer pipe excavation and replacement.
