A 9’ deep 50,000 gallon commercial pool had a cracked PVC leak somewhere under the deep end floor and was losing 2’ of water a day.
Pool contractor recommended draining the pool, installing wellpoints to control ground water, cutting out the 8” thick concrete to gain access to the broken pipe. After repairs and re-pouring of concrete the entire pool would have to be resurfaced, in addition to being brought up to the new codes (new tile, depth markers, handrails etc.). Estimated duration: 4 weeks Total Cost: $45,000
We did a “Point Repair” by lining just a small section of pipe WITHOUT DRAINING THE POOL. Duration: ½ day Cost: $5,500
